Accrington & Rossendale College Beauty Department Bring Home 6 Trophies!
Nail & Beauty Therapy students from Accrington & Rossendale College are celebrating after bringing home 6 trophies from the Professional Beauty North exhibition.
The competition, which was held during the Professional Beauty 2012 exhibition at Manchester Central, saw the best and brightest national and international salons and individuals go head to head in a number of competitions.
Accrington & Rossendale College staff and students bagged 6 trophies in the competition overall.

FakhraRafiq – 3rd Place in Tip & Overlay.Ruth Travis, Nail Programme Leader and Beauty Therapy Lecturer explained, “These competitions attract people from all over the world, so the standard is very high and it is a prestigious title achieve. To win 6 trophies was amazing, but not surprising, given the amount of talent we have and the hard work put into preparing for the competition inspired by our recently fashioned state of the art nail salon”.
“Achieving the top 3 spots in the manicure competition was exceptional, reflecting the quality of our students and the professional standards they aspire to. We could not be prouder of all our trophy winners and it is down to the dedication of the Beauty Therapy and Nail Lecturers for helping our students prepare so thoroughly. In addition to the competitors, staff also took Hair, Beauty and Media students to the exhibition where they got to see the latest innovations in Beauty Therapy and Nail Technologies.
